For the third time I went looking for an entrance to a bunker (somewhere in
Europe). This time I brought Jürgen, who is always keen on a little adventure,
with me and together with the men that started this project many years ago
we tried our luck again.
I sought years earlier with a ground-penetrating radar on the presumed airshaft - without success. The second time I even came with a divining rod, ground radar and deep seeker, but also without finding the shaft. The old crew found and dug themselves already three entrances to this bunker. Unfortunately they could not get any further because the tunnels were all blown up in the middle. What we did see was the course of the tunnels.
We wanted to find an airshaft past the blasted areas. Airshafts are usually secured with a grid. That´s why I brought Nokta´s Golden King.
Unfortunately we only had two days time. With a little luck and a lot of work we managed to locate a shaft, hopefully leading to success. After much digging in clay, hard ground, we found parts of the grid and the blasted airshaft. Now it's time to continue digging and drilling to insert a probe with a camera to be able to ....
The entrance to a tunnel
Of course, Juergen wanted to see what was down there: nothing.
Such an airshaft, we wanted to find. This one was already checked. Goes up to 15 feet down, there you arrive in a 5 feet wide tunnel.

There were probably already a lot of people here before us searching with a detector. So most of the metal objects were already found, taken home or left at the surface when not interesting. I was just looking at places that were bowl-shaped, and were probably formed by an explosion. When I got a signal at a greater depth it became interesting for us.

The result can be seen below. At around 1 meter depth, we
found a bar of about 30 cm (bottom photo) in length.
Then, at 1.20 and 1.40 meters two more pieces and many fragments of pottery,
which probably resultet from a clay pipe. Unfortunately, we ran out of time
and had to give up for now. The Golden King still located metal in a depth
at more then 180 cm (see youtube
)!

Jürgen has worked diligently. If you look good, you can already see the shaft between the blade and the hands of Jürgen.

Here you can see the shaft.
Below the bars and the shaft particles that we found.
